The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded in 1909 by a group of citizens from multiple races and cultures desiring social justice. The membership of the NAACP now has over 20,000 members. The fight for civil rights is still ongoing because the Jackson Branch NAACP has many enemies. But the commitment and unflinching courage of our members, friends and supporters is unsurpassed.

The Jackson Branch NAACP relies on membership. Many people of the Jackson Branch NAACP in it’s past and present have committed to the fight for civil rights by joining the Jackson Branch NAACP. These warriors have been responsible for our previous successes. But you are the groundwork upon which the Jackson Branch NAACP’s future successes will be built.
