Author Paul Mitrovich will be the next speaker in Mentor Public Library and James A. Garfield National Historic Site’s Civil War series.
Mitrovich, who previously served as Lake County Prosecutor and Court of Common Pleas Judge, will discuss slavery, the reconstruction, and the Civil Rights movement during his talk. The program begins at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch–8215 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mitrovich is also the author of “Justice Delayed,” which examines the slow, incremental growth of rights for former slaves leading to the blockbuster Supreme Court decision of Brown v. Board.
